Unfortunately, I never met either of these brave young men, nonetheless, their selfless acts of courage on that harrowing day, remind me that there are still a few kind souls in an unkind world. My prayers and blessings go out to their family and friends today.

This was by far the saddest day for Charlotte. It will never be forgotten and the grief we felt that day continues, especially for the families of Reed and Riley. We need to recognize the importance of mental health for ourselves and others. Participate in the training we have on campus and help all 49ers.

Riley was one of those students that had the can do attitude, He worked very hard in HRL all the way up to the day before. He will be truly missed with his smile, and the charisma you felt around him with the other student staff. Just an all out wonderful human being.

My heart continues to ache for the loss of Riley and Reed. My thoughts are with their families today and every day.
